Happy Birthday!

Hello!

I ordered from Simon Says Stamp last week and my goodies came yesterday! That’s awesome considering I live on the other side of the world from Simon Says Stamp… šŸ™‚ Anyway, now I have a lot of new stamp sets, stencils, dies, ink and paper to play with. Yay!!

Today I made a Happy Birthday card to one of my sons friends using one of Lawn Fawn’s new releases, “Beep Boop Birthday” stamp set with coordinated dies. The sentiment die is designed and written by Kristina Werner, one of my favorite cardmakers. Love her handwriting! I made my own background with stamps and versamark ink, similar to my last card. My white gel pen went M I A, otherwise I would have drawn some white stitching lines. I guess I have to go to my local craft store and buy a new one ( Don’t tell my husband… šŸ™‚ )

Welcome little one

Hello peeps!

I just love these elephants from Paper Smooches. I have used them on a lot of cards latley, I just can’t get enough of them! On this card I created my own background by stamping the elephants on grey cardstock with versamark. I layered some scrap pieces of patterned paper to mount the elephants. The elephants are coloured with copics and got a shimmer coat with a Wink of Stella glitter marker. I made a dot with black enamel accent on the baby elephants eye.

I stamped the sentiment with versamark and heatembossed it in white, then I inked up the sentiment stamp again with versamark and stamped it slightly offset to create a shadow to the sentiment.

This card was quick and easy to make and I really like how the background turned out.

Take care!
