Baby card with watercolor

Hi!

I just bought some Peerless watercolors and I LOVE them! You can get really vibrant colors but today a went for a muted palette, and I only used two colors. My inspiration was pixel art, so that was what I wanted to replicate for my background. I cut the word die two times and adhered them slightly offset, and then adhered the wood stars.

I asked my husband if he liked this card, he is a honest critic and said he didn’t like it at all. He thought that the card would look better if the squares was exactly the same size, I tried to explain how watercolor works and that I wanted a loose effect but he still didn’t like it. I kind of like it so I thought I should share it with you anyway. What do you guys think? Would this card look better if the squares where exactly the same size?

As always, thanks for stopping by, see you soon and take care!

Over to todays card, I just received an order from Simon Says Stamp so I have a bunch of new goodies to play with! I feel like a child at Christmas…lol!

My youngest son helped me unpack the box and he loved this stamp set from Mama Elephant so I created a Valentine card for him using these stamps. He is all about superheroes these days, all cuddly sweet toys are long forgotten. His favorite colors are red and yellow so that  how I came up with the superheroes colors… 🙂

I masked the hero with post-it tape and inked around him with some blue Hero Arts ink. The small heart stamp is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set. I coulden’t help my self and added some wink of stella to a part of the sentiment and parts of the hero. Then I cut out the stitched frames from grey cardstock using Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies, and I off set them and cut the excess off. I love these dies and I’m so happy I’ve got them! So thats my card,  now I will stop blabbering and it’s your turn to create and come play with us over at Addicted to CAS!
