Hello!
I hope you all have a nice Saturday and can find some craft time and to join us over at Addicted to CAS! Our challenge word this time is green, and I love it! Green is one of my favorite colors.
Our Hostess for this challenge is the lovely and creative Vicky, and our guest designer is Birgit Edblom, an extremely talented card maker and a fellow countrywoman of mine. 🙂 Don’t forget to visit her blog and be amazed!
There is a really good price in it for the winner as well, our sponsor is Scribbled designs and the winner gets THREE images!
Over to my card, I use distress ink and a stencil to make the background, then I colored the balloon with distress ink as well. When I was starting out with paper crafting I didn’t have so many craft supplies as I do now, and I used to color everything with distress ink and a sponge. I think you can get a really good result with a limited stash of craft supplies. …But why risk it, right? :- ) I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp as my balloon string. I have had my eye on this stamp set for a while but it has always been out of stock when I bought thing from Simon Says Stamp, but now I finally have this set in my stash! I resist my urge to use my Wink Of Stella on the balloons, I love that pen and tend to use it on everything…… I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card, but I stamped Happy Birthday with the handwritten borders stamp ( same as the Hello on the outside ) to tie everything together.
Thanks for stopping by and we would love if you came over and played with us over at Addicted to CAS!!

Gorgeous card, Joanna! I love the graphic pattern behind your balloons and the font on this sentiment is perfect for your ‘string’! You’re right…we could probably get away with fewer supplies, but I LOVE all the new stamps, dies and stencils that are available to us 🙂
Thanks Barb! I agree, I love all new products as well, that is what makes it so fun! The only downside is that you can’t by them all….lol
Love these balloons with the curly strings, Joanna! The stenciled checks are a perfect backdrop!
Thanks Bonnie!
Gorgeous card Joanna. Love the sponged checkerboard and your beautiful balloon. The “hello” balloon string is so sweet! This would be perfect for the HLS March CAS Challenge – Sponging. Hope you’ll join in. Loll xx
Thanks Loll! I’ve entered the HLS as well!
Thanks for playing along Joanna!! xx
Joanna, I really like your checkerboard backround mixed with your balloons – perfect for our “Things That Fly” challenge this week! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
Underbart kort Joanna! Jag älskar det!
Tack Åsa! Vad glad jag blir att du gillar det!
I love the way you did the background so subtly, then getting darker in the corner. I am going to have to try that! The balloons look so cute over the top.
Thanks Shana!
Adorable Joanna!
Thanks Kimberly!

Hugs

Thanks Inga!
This is awesome! The faded stenciling looks amazing 🙂
It as exhausting to find knowledgeable individuals on this topic, however you sound like you already know what you are speaking about! Thanks
